The Children’s Guild District of Columbia Public Charter School named Marie Caputo and Michael Curran to the school’s board of directors.

Marie Caputo is a principal with CliftonLarsonAllen, where she is a leader in the national nonprofit industry group as well as the District of Columbia region. Caputo has over 28 years of professional experience, specializing in providing auditing, accounting and consulting services for nonprofit organizations. Her experience includes providing services to tax-exempt organizations, including those with international operations, social-welfare organizations, associations and foundations. Previously, she served as chair of the board for The Children’s Guild Alliance. Caputo earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Michael Curran is principal and chief operating officer of Riparian Capital Partners, a real estate private equity investment management firm, and managing partner of Curran Advisors and Truebridge Partners, organizational and leadership development companies in Washington, D.C. He has served as president, CEO, partner, chief operating officer and senior managing director for public and private companies in the commercial real estate investment management industry. He practiced law for seven years at the beginning of his career. Curran earned his Master of Public Administration at Harvard University, his law degree at the University of Louisville and his bachelor’s degree at Bellarmine University.

The Children’s Guild DC Public Charter School is an affiliate member of The Children’s Guild Alliance, a nonprofit organization serving children, families and child-serving organizations dedicated to transforming how America educates and cares for its children through education, behavioral health and national training and consultation services. Affiliates of The Children’s Guild Alliance include The Children’s Guild, Monarch Academy public charter and contract schools, Monarch Preschool College Park, Tranzed Academy for Working Students (TAWS), TranZed Apprenticeships, Transformation Education Institute and The National Children’s Guild Fund.
