ASGN is Moving its HQ from California to Virginia — and Bringing 700 Jobs

Gov. Ralph Northam

Gov. Ralph Northam announced last week that tech consulting company ASGN Incorporated is relocating its headquarters from Calabasas, California, to the Richmond, Virginia area, bringing 700 new jobs to the region.

Founded in 1985, ASGN provides professional staffing and IT services across the tech, digital, creative, engineering and life sciences fields in the commercial and government sectors. The Fortune 1000 IT provider will invest $5 million into its new headquarters located at 4400 Cox Road in Henrico County, and another $7.4 million into expanding its operations throughout Virginia. Outside of the 121 jobs coming to Richmond, ASGN plans to add 147 new jobs in Virginia Beach, 74 in Roanoke and 358 additional roles in other communities throughout the Commonwealth.

“With our two largest divisions based in the Commonwealth, it just made sense to have our headquarters in Henrico County,” said ASGN President and CEO Ted Hanson in a statement. “Virginia’s strong pipeline of information technology talent for both the commercial and government sectors make it an ideal place for us to have our headquarters and continue to grow.”
