BETHESDA, Md. - JDKatz, P.C. – a tax litigation and estate planning law firm in Bethesda, Md. and downtown Washington, D.C. – has added Isabella Demougeot, Esq. as a senior litigation associate.

Bringing eight years’ experience, Demougeot represents a broad range of clients in civil litigation matters, including business disputes, partnership dissolutions and high-profile litigation. She is licensed to practice in both State and Federal Court in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and before the United States Supreme Court.

“Individuals and businesses need honest and clear guidance so it’s important to me educate them about the litigation process and their various options in order to make the process less stressful and overwhelming,” Demougeot said.“I am excited to join JDKatz and further develop and strengthen the firm’s civil litigation practice group.”

During her prior positions at Rifkin, Weiner, Livingston LLC, Peckar& Abramson and Covington and Burling, Demougeot advocated for clients in commercial litigation and ethics matters, including litigation involving professional sports teams and large companies.

She also acquired family law experience at Ain & Bank, and government experience from externships and internships with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of the Inspector General, the Office of Administrative Law Judges for the U.S. Department of Labor and the State's Attorney's Office for Montgomery County, Maryland.

A current member of the executive board of the William B. Bryant American Inn of Court, she previously was vicechair of the ABA’s Young Lawyers’ Litigation Committee and a member of the Elizabeth Seton High School board of directors. Fluent in French, Demougeot earned her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her law degree from William and Mary School of Law. She resides in Montgomery County.
