Neighbor Ride Names Paul Gleichauf to Board

Paul Gleichauf

Neighbor Ride, which provides volunteer-based transportation to seniors in Howard County, named Paul Gleichauf to the organization’s board of directors. Gleichauf brings more than 35 years of experience serving health care and human services organizations.

In 2015, he founded Paul Gleichauf & Associates, a consulting firm that provides strategic planning, new program and service development, marketing and communications planning and project management to health care, government, human services and mission-based organizations.

Previously, Gleichauf was president and CEO of Baltimore Medical System, a health system of five health centers and eight school-based clinics in medically underserved neighborhoods in Baltimore. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of planning and marketing at Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, where he led new business development, physician relations, marketing and communications.

Prior to moving to Maryland, Gleichauf was the director of planning and marketing at two community hospitals in Massachusetts. He also worked as an account executive for a large health maintenance organization.

Active in the community, Gleichauf has held board leadership roles with The Horizon Foundation, the United Way of Central Maryland, Leadership Howard County, Humanim and the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Leadership Howard County and the Johns Hopkins Leadership Development Program and holds degrees from Cornell University and Northeastern University. He lives in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Neighbor Ride enhances the health and quality of life for Howard County’s seniors by providing the comfort and peace of mind of affordable, passenger-focused transportation services through a reliable, volunteer-based system.
