Industry veteran brings 45 years of experience to new role

HVAC Concepts, a building automation and energy management systems service provider, announces today the appointment of Steven Dodd as President.

In this role, Dodd will be responsible for the organization’s continued growth through digitalization and integration, as well as leveraging the IoT (Internet of Things) to provide unique solutions for its clients and business partners. One of Dodd’s main objectives will be to balance technology and talent in an effort to provide profitable results for the organization and its customers.

Fidelity Building Services Group (Fidelity BSG), a premier provider of Mechanical HVAC design, installation and service in the Mid-Atlantic region, is the parent company to HVAC Concepts and Fidelity Mechanical Services, where Dodd served as its Director of Service for the Ashburn division from 2011-2013.

Dodd brings to his role at HVAC Concepts 45 years of industry experience in various building trades including HVAC, building automation, facility management, digital facility services delivery, facility systems integration, MEP construction projects and existing building commissioning.

Dodd is a LEED Green Associate and holds many other industry certifications and licenses, including a CxA certification from ACG (Retro-commissioning Authority), an EMP (Energy Management Professional) from the EMA and many other technical certifications from Tridium, JCI, Trane, among others.

Dodd and his wife are the proud parents of four children and proud grandparents to four grandchildren. He and his family reside in Northern Virginia.
