Virginia Tire & Auto, the Fairfax-based full-service provider of automotive maintenance services, announces extensive growth in 2019. With stores in Vienna and Richmond already opened this year and two additional locations in Tysons and Herndon scheduled for 2019, these four locations will bring the total to 17 stores.

In addition to the store openings, the company recently hired its first Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Whitton, who will deliver leadership, direction and management of company finances, providing strategic recommendations to the executive management team and advising on long-term business and financial planning.Whitton is a 15-year veteran of multi-unit retail finance and was most recently the CFO at Cambridge Finance Holdings, a large Burger King franchisee based out of Memphis, TN.

“We welcome Kevin to the Virginia Tire & Auto team,” said Mike Holmes, CEO of Virginia Tire & Auto. “As Virginia Tire & Auto continues to expand its service offerings and reach, we look to Kevin to bring his keen strategic vision for the company as we continue to deliver outstanding services for our customers in the Northern Virginia and Richmond markets.”

“I am thrilled to join this fantastic company with such a storied history, superb management team and outstanding business model,” said Kevin Whitton, CFO of Virginia Tire & Auto. “I am very bullish on our future.”

Virginia Tire & Auto has been providing Virginia residents with exceptional customer service and matchless experience since the opening of its first store in 1976. For more than 40 years, Virginia Tire & Auto has remained committed to offering the newest in automotive technologies with outstanding customer care.

“We believe in our team and our mission — to take the stress out of car care — and this expansion will allow us to continue building a strong brand and transforming the car care industry,” said Holmes.

Virginia Tire & Auto opened a store in Chesterfield, a Richmond suburb, in January 2019, its first outside of Northern Virginia, and opened a facility in Vienna in late March. Construction is underway at the store in Herndon, slated to open this fall, and the Tysons location is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
