Employment law group welcomes two new law fellows and director of new client services
The Spiggle Law Firm, which focuses on workplace law helping protect the rights of clients facing pregnancy and caregiver discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination, announced it is expanding, with three new hires who focus on workplace law.
Tom Spiggle, a former federal prosecutor and founder of the firm, said two new law fellows and a director of new client services would help address the needs of its growing list of clients.
“In the wake of the #MeToo movement, sexual harassment claims are up. Pregnancy discrimination and gender and racial discrimination claims also continue to be a problem,” he said. “These new employees will help us address these serious problems in American workplaces.”
The new hires are:
Tiffany Mane, Law Fellow
Tiffany has a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a law degree from Howard University. She is a Posse Foundation Full Tuition Leadership College Scholarship recipient and a 2016 Peggy Browning Fellow. Mane is bilingual in Spanish and an advocate for labor and employment rights. She likes to volunteer with the immigrant communities in the Maryland, D.C. and Virginia area and is an avid reader of personal development books and memoirs.
Jen Mulledy, Director of New Client Services
Jen comes to the Spiggle Law Firm on a non-traditional path. Although her first major in college following high school was pre-law, as a “returning student” at the University of Maryland, she realized she was more suited to Architecture and Physics. Since, her professional experience as an entrepreneur, interior designer, and executive manager has developed her intuition for and dedication to the client’s journey.
Mark Dourmashkin, J.D., Law Fellow
Mark has a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College and is a recent graduate of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He also was a note and comment editor of the Journal of Law and Technology and the president of the Sports Law and Entertainment Society. He has worked at several private practice law firms and in his free time, Mark enjoys volunteering at the DC Pro Bono Small Business Legal Advice clinic and attending the Washington Nationals and Wizards games.
Spiggle said that the new members of the team would help give workers a voice as they face discrimination and harassment.
“The American legal system and government agencies that are supposed to be on the side of employees are too opaque for workers to navigate on their own,” he added. “With these lawyers on their side, our clients will have even more of the advantage that corporate America takes for granted.”
