NKF V&A Expands Retail/Regional Malls Specialty Practice

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Valuation & Advisory (V&A) Retail/Regional Malls Specialty Practice, led by Senior Managing Director John Mackris, with the hiring of leading appraisers in key markets throughout the country.

Senior Managing Director Raymond T. Cirz, MAI, CRE, FRICS joins the New York office. He has been actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting for over 40 years, including acquisition and disposition analyses, portfolio valuation of major regional malls and high street retail throughout the US, as well as internationally. Mr. Cirz previously served as Chairman of the Board of Integra Realty Resources (IRR) and now co-leads the Tri-State region for NKF V&A.

Senior Managing Director and Rocky Mountain Region Market Leader Brad A. Weiman, MAI joins the Denver team. He has valued retail properties throughout the United States for over 36 years. Mr. Weiman has completed investment analyses and valuations of shopping centers, regional malls, health clubs, office buildings, warehouses and multihousing. Weiman is qualified as an expert witness before several judicial bodies and specializes in ad valorem tax valuation and conservation easements. Prior to joining NKF, Weiman led IRR’s Denver office for 25 years.

Executive Vice President Sean P. Flynn also joins the Denver team. He brings to his position more than 15 years of experience in the valuation of traditional and complex commercial properties, including but not limited to enclosed regional malls on a national basis, neighborhood shopping centers, lifestyle centers, mixed-use properties, build-to-suit projects, office buildings, warehouses and subdivisions. Mr. Flynn joined NKF after working in IRR’s Denver office for 14 years.

Senior Vice President Daniel McNeilly, MAI, joins the firm’s Chicago office. Mr. McNeilly, a 14-year appraisal industry veteran, has prepared and performed valuations and market analyses on a broad range of properties that include regional and super-regional malls, lifestyle centers, neighborhood shopping centers and community shopping centers. Previously, Mr. McNeilly served as a valuation and services director in the Chicago office of Colliers International for over six years.

Senior Vice President Chris Mealy, MAI, MRICS, ASA, joins NKF’s Seattle office. Mr. Mealy has performed valuation assignments for a range of property types over the past 12 years, focusing primarily on retail assets such as malls, lifestyle centers, neighborhood centers, power centers, strip centers and net-leased properties throughout Alaska, Oregon and Washington. Previously, Mr. Mealy worked for five years as a senior director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Seattle office.

Vice President Jennifer Munier, SCGREA, joins as an appraiser in the firm’s Whippany, NJ office. Ms. Munier is a 20-year commercial real estate veteran with substantial experience with regional malls, lifestyle centers and other retail assets throughout the country. She also has extensive experience with office and industrial assets. Previously, Ms. Munier was with IRR’s New Jersey office.

Senior Vice President Chris Myers, MAI, joins NKF’s Los Angeles office with 11 years of complex real estate asset experience including luxury boutique retail, regional malls, lifestyle centers, as well as data centers and life science facilities. Previously, Mr. Myers was at Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles for 10 years, most recently as a senior director.

Senior Vice President Sara E. Payne, MAI, joins NKF’s Houston office with 13 years of appraisal and consulting experience throughout the United States. She focuses predominantly on regional mall and office assets. Previously, Ms. Payne was a vice president in the Houston office of Jones Lang LaSalle’s V&A Group.

Senior Vice President Andrew “Drew” Robinson, MAI, based in the firm’s Atlanta office, has 15 years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and consultation. As a member of the Retail/Regional Malls practice he specializes in regional shopping malls and various retail centers - lifestyle, regional, and power. Previously, Mr. Robinson served as a vice president for 14 years with CBRE.

John Mackris, MAI, MRICS, V&A Market Leader - Illinois, Missouri and Kansas is a highly experienced appraiser with over 20 years in the industry. He and his Retail/Regional Malls Specialty Practice team members have extensive experience with valuations and market analyses on all core asset types but have developed specializations within and beyond retail. Previously, Mr. Mackris worked for nearly 20 years for Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago office, most recently as an executive director and co-leader of the Midwest Retail Specialty Practice.
