Stacy Cammarano and Jessica Westerman Join Katz, Marshall & Banks as Associates

Stacy Cammarano and Jessica Westerman

The whistleblower, employment and civil rights law firm Katz, Marshall & Banks, LLP today announced that Stacy N. Cammarano and Jessica Westerman have joined the firm’s Washington office as associates.

“We are pleased to have Stacy and Jessica as the newest members of our team,” said Debra S. Katz, a founding partner of the firm. “Both attorneys are very accomplished, talented, and have bright futures at Katz, Marshall & Banks. They have valuable employment and human rights experience, and will certainly be an asset to our clients.”

Before joining the firm, Cammarano was a law clerk to the Honorable David Briones in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Before that, she served as the managing director of the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice, where she focused on international law, inequality, and social and economic rights. She has also worked as a legal researcher at the Open Society Justice Initiative and as a tenants’ rights attorney at the Urban Justice Center’s Community Development Project. Cammarano earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was the submissions director of the Texas Journal of Women and the Law, a mentor coordinator for Pro Bono in January, and a human rights scholar with the Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice. She received her B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan.

Westerman previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Russell F. Canan of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was executive articles editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy. She also worked as a student attorney for the Institute for Public Representation, Civil Rights Group, representing employees in wage and hour claims, and interned with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she worked on cases involving employment discrimination. She has also volunteered with the D.C. Employment Justice Center's Workers' Rights Clinic. Westerman received her B.A. from Princeton University.
