Womble Carlyle's Holly Svetz Named to Boards of Contract Appeals Bar Association Board of Governors
TYSONS CORNER, VA. - Womble Carlyle attorney Holly Emrick Svetz has been elected to the Boards of Contract Appeals Board of Governors. Svetz will serve a three-year term on the nine-member board, which oversees the association's activities.
The Boards of Contract Appeals Bar Association is a professional organization of attorneys, judges and legal assistants who practice before the federal Boards of Contract Appeals. These federal boards include the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, the U.S. Postal Service Board of Contract Appeals and the District of Columbia Contract Appeals Board. The BCABA works to improve the practice of law before these boards through professional development activities, professional committees, seminars and publications.
Holly Emrick Svetz has more than 15 years of experience as a government contracts attorney. As a former U.S. Air Force engineer, she has a particular interest in technology-related contracts, research and development grants and other agreements. She represents clients in bid protests and claims litigation at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, Government Accountability Office, Small Business Administration Office of Hearings and Appeals, and Virginia and District of Columbia state and federal courts.
Svetz also is a frequent author and presenter on government contracting issues. She practices in the firm's Northern Virginia office.
