Rockrose Signs High-Profile SKDKnickerbocker Political Consulting Firm at 1150 18TH Street in Washington’s CBD
Major Redesign of Architect Dan Hisaka’s Modern Masterpiece Attracts Elite Strategic Communications, Public Relations and Advertising Firm
New York City-based Rockrose Development Corp. announced that it has signed a long-term lease with the nationally prominent SKDKnickerbocker political and strategic consulting firm at 1150 18th Street NW, its Class A office building in the heart of Washington’s Golden Triangle Business District.
SKDKnickerbocker will occupy Suite 800, 13,290 square feet of comprising almost the entire 8th floor of the building. Former White House communications director Anita Dunn and power strategist Hilary Rosen are just two of the elite consultants who will be occupying the space at 1150 18th Street.
Will Stern, Eli Barnes and Richard Tonner of Cassidy Turley represented Rockrose, and Glenn Meltzer from The Ezra Company represented SKDKnickerbocker in the lease transaction. Asking rents at 1150 18th Street are in the mid-$50s per square foot.
To elevate the building into a modern masterpiece consistent with the building’s original design aesthetic by legendary architect Dan Hisaka, Rockrose engaged Fox Architects to redesign the building’s lobby, elevators, common areas and restrooms.

Craig Deitelzweig, Head of the Office Division for Rockrose, reported that more than 105,290 square feet of leases have been signed since Rockrose acquired the building in April 2011. The property is now 95% leased. Attracting a tenant like SKDKnickerbocker is a testament to the success of the building’s repositioning and major upgrades.
