The Rascal Flatts Restaurant Group is eying the Washington DC area for a new restaurant with a target opening date in 2013.

Rascal Flatts chose Philip Lama as the company's licensee for the concept. Lama then entered into a partnership with Eric Soe and created Rascal Flatts Restaurant Group.

The company's first restaurant is a 14,000 square foot site in Phoenix, AZ. The company has targeted Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh for its second and third sites, according to a representative from the firm's Public Relations agency. Raleigh and the Washington, D.C. market would follow,

According to its website, The Rascal Flatts Restaurant Group has the ultimate goal of expanding the concept and taking it public.

Rascall Flats isn't the only country music eatery with expansion plans. Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, which has locations in Oklahoma City and Las Vegas, is planning to open 19 more units by the end of the year, according to OKCReview.com.
