J Street Companies Signs United Steelworkers To 7,784 Sf Lease At The Demonet Building In Downtown Washington, DC
J Street Companies announces a 7,784 square foot lease with United Steelworkers (USW) at The Demonet Building located at 1155 Connecticut Avenue, NW in the Central Business District. The lease with USW marks the second full floor lease signed at The Demonet in the past 30 days. The Demonet is leased by J Street and managed by Transwestern.
J Street Principal, Geoff Kieffer, noted, “The Demonet offered the United Steelworkers a full floor presence and an outside terrace overlooking the vibrant Connecticut Avenue and M Street corridor." J Street is continuing to lease suites at The Demonet, many of which feature a dominant full floor presence and reserved parking spaces in the private garage.
Built in 1984, The Demonet is a 93,046 square foot Connecticut Avenue landmark, located in the heart of the Central Business District and just steps away from the amenities of Dupont Circle. The building features a commanding, historic presence on the corner of Connecticut Avenue & M Street and offers sweeping views and spacious, private roof decks.
J Street’s Geoff Kieffer and Shea Byers represented the landlord in the transaction and extend their appreciation to The Meyer Group for their representation of USW.
