DC Landlords Offering Record Levels of Free Rent
Intense competition among owners looking to attract or retain tenants has given tenants some of the most favorable market conditions ever found in Washington, D.C., according to analysis from Jones Lang LaSalle.
Attractive base rents and concession packages have proven successful in luring tenants, and new relocations involving terms of 10 years or longer now command rental abatement packages that average 10.2 months, according to the report. This is a record high for the Washington, D.C. market.
