AvalonBay Communities Inc. (NYSE: AVB) Chairman Blair Bryce sold shares for $806,124, according to SEC filings.
Bryce, a 19-year veteran at the Arlington-based real estate investment trust, sold 5,718 shares at $140.98 apiece in an open market transaction. He still owns 170,319 shares worth $24.28 million, according to the stock?s closing price of $142.58 per share on Sept. 5.
Blair, who has previously held the positions of CEO, president and COO, has overseen the development, construction, acquisition and management of over $10 billion of multifamily assets at AvalonBay. Prior to the formation of Avalon Properties in 1993, Blair was a partner at Trammell Crow Residential, overseeing multifamily investments in the New England area.
AvalonBay Communities develops and redevelops apartment communities in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Pacific Northwest and Northern and Southern California.
