Arnall Golden Gregory Partner Michael Burke Named to 2012 Irish Legal 100

Michael E. Burke, a partner in the Corporate Practice at Arnall Golden Gregory’s Washington, D.C., office, has been named to the 2012 Irish Legal 100, which recognizes outstanding lawyers of Irish descent.
The group’s honorees include U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Mr. Burke is the immediate past chair of the 25,000-member American Bar Association Section of International Law, the youngest person to hold that position.
He is an editor and co-author of the Corporate Counsel's Guide to Doing Business in China, 3d ed., and is the U.S. Country Councillor for LAWASIA, the international organization that focuses on legal issues in the Asia Pacific region.
In March 2012, Mr. Burke led a delegation of more than 20 international attorneys on an International Legal Exchange (ILEX) program to Dar es Salaam and Arusha, Tanzania, and Kigali, Rwanda.
In his practice, Mr. Burke focuses on cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, strategic alliances, private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, distribution and reseller networks, and technology licensing.
He also advises clients on compliance with U.S. export controls regulations, U.S. economic sanctions programs, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and U.S. antiboycott regulations.
