Topping-Out Party Marks Progress of Blocks A and B at The Boro in Tysons

The Meridian Group, KETTLER and Clark Construction Group, celebrated a significant milestone today for The Boro, the premier development in Tysons that will feature 4.2 million square feet of office, retail,residential and entertainment space.

The Meridian Group and KETTLER have a joint venture to develop thePhase Iresidential space at The Boro. Award-winning architectural firm Shalom BaranesAssociates designed the state-of-the-art residential buildings, and Clark Construction Group the General Contractor.

The firms held a topping out party to mark the progress of the structural components of The Boro’s Blocks A and B. The blocks will feature three residential buildings, one loft office building, a variety of shops and restaurants,and a flagship Whole Foods Market.

“This is a significant milestone for The Boro, and all of our partners should be very proudof their work in achieving it,” said David Cheek, President of The Meridian Group. “We are well on our way to making The Boro one of the area’s preeminent destinations – a true world-class development that will transform Tysons.”

Block A will include three residential towers offering 677 residential units, 140 of which are condominiums now being offered for sale. The luxury towers will be situated around an elevated podium offering a one-acre SkyPark, which will provide grills, fire pits, and games for residents to enjoy. This generous greenspace creates a synergy between the buildings that will promote a sense of community.

Block A will be anchored by a 69,000-square-foot Whole Foods, the largest in the DC area. Block A also will include street-level retail along the newly created streetscape of Boro Place.

Located within walking distance of the Greensboro Metro station, The Boro is also

conveniently near Route 7, Route 123, and Greensboro Drive. When completed, The Boro will boast more than 1,500 residential units, 1.9 million square feet of office space, 350,000 square feet of retail, 250,000 square feet of hotel space and a state-of-the-art, 14-screen ShowPlace ICON theater.

On the opposite side of Greensboro Place, Block B will featureThe Loft, an 150,000-square-footoffice building boasting 14-foot ceilings and operable windows. The Loft will include two floors of retail space to completeThe Boro’sactive urban environment.

The Boro will offer a walkable urban environment that has long been desired in Tysons, with a dynamic combination of office, retail, and residential space in both mid- and high-rise construction. Stretching across 15 acres, the development will boast lively restaurants with outdoor seating, awnings, and canopies for an inviting experience for residents and visitors alike.
