Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM), a not-for-profit headquartered in Baltimore, is pleased to announce the hiring of Thomas D. Kohn in the newly created role of Senior Director and Counsel.

"Tom has served as our corporate attorney for a number of years and we are very excited about Tom's decision to join BISM full time,” said BISM President Frederick J. Puente.

Mr. Kohn comes to BISM after over 30 years as a private practice attorney, most recently as a principal with Pessin Katz Law, P.A. In the course of his practice, Mr. Kohn worked with companies to assist them in business formation and planning, asset acquisition, real property investment and general corporate growth and management.

"Tom brings extensive leadership, management and strategy experience, which makes him a strong addition to BISM,” said Puente.

Mr. Kohn is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with honors (1983), and the University of Maryland School of Law (1986).

"I am excited to join BISM and look forward to helping the team grow the company and meet our mission goals," said Kohn.
