According to a Medium post published Thursday, the mapping company is heading to 15th and H Streets NW, which is a block from the White House. The move is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
“It’s classic DC?—?an old bank turned hotel turned nonprofit-run office space,” CEO Eric Gundersen wrote. “The details are exquisite?—?original mosaic tile, exposed brick, steel beams built to hold up a vault (the vault is now in the basement by the gym).”
Gundersen said the company looked at 75 properties for a new home. The company is customizing the space “so when you walk in you really feel, and know, Mapbox roots are locked in D.C.,” Gundersen wrote.
