Mr. Hummel practices in the firm’s Land Use/Zoning group, focusing in the areas of zoning, planning, permitting and other land use regulatory matters. He has experience in representing clients before a wide range of state and local agencies, as well as before Maryland state courts. Mr. Hummel represents firm clients including residential and commercial real estate developers, nonprofit organizations, and a wide range of institutional uses. He has particular experience with mixed-use projects, infill redevelopment and public/private partnerships. He also routinely assists with due diligence analyses and provides counsel on all aspects of the entitlement process. He earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law and his B.A. summa cum laude from Tufts University.
Mr. Murphy practices in the firm’s Real Estate Transactions group. He has a diverse transactional practice and is actively engaged in various aspects of commercial real estate law. Mr. Murphy represents developers in mixed-use projects and public-private partnerships; purchasers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions; and lenders and borrowers in senior, subordinate and mezzanine financings. His work with firm clients include national developers, private investors and family businesses. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his A.B. cum laude from Dartmouth College.
