Bracewell LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen B. Crain and Jason B. Hutt have each been elected to serve a three-year term on Bracewell’s management committee.

Stephen B. Crain – Crain is a partner in Bracewell’s Houston office and has chaired the firm’s litigation section since 2014. Crain led the transformation of the department into one of the top litigation practices in the United States by creating a team that operates as a boutique within a large law firm. This innovative approach has yielded favorable results for Bracewell clients and earned Crain and his team top honors within the legal industry. Texas Lawyer honored Bracewell as the Large Law Firm Litigation Department of the Year in 2017. In 2016, Law360 named Bracewell to the inaugural list of Litigation Powerhouses. Crain earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and his A.B. from Duke University. He has been elected to serve on the management committee twice before.

Jason B. Hutt – Hutt is a partner in Bracewell’s Washington, DC office and has chaired the firm’s Environmental Strategies Group since 2015. Under his leadership, the environmental team has deepened its bench strength with strategic hires that elevated the practice to Band 1 in Texas in Chambers USA and enhanced the group’s DC and national reputations. In 2017, Chambers and Partners selected Bracewell as a finalist for top environmental practice at the Chambers USA Awards for Excellence. In his individual practice, Hutt is consistently at the vanguard of emerging trends in energy and environmental law and advises and defends clients on precedent-setting matters. Hutt graduated magna cum laude from Vermont Law School and earned his B.A. at Colgate University.
