Leidos Employees to be Honored at 32nd Annual Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science, information technology, and engineering leader, today announced 12 employees will be recognized at the 32nd Annual Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) Conference in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 8-10. The conference enables students, educators, and a wide variety of STEM professionals to connect and share their experiences and information.

Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will attend and present 10 Leidos employees with the Modern Day Technology Leader award. This recognition identifies men and women developing cutting-edge technology or conducting vital research in science for the government or private industry. Leidos employees receiving this honor include Selassie Ametewee, Kor? Beverly, Annitta Haywood, Adrian Montgomery, Letrice Morgan, Theresa Nix, Robin Peshak, Quincy Stokes, Thomas Walker III, and Lorenzo Wiggins.

Additionally, Roy Jones Jr. will receive the Lester L. Lyles Legacy Award for his volunteer work with a D.C. youth robotics team and his efforts to mentor STEM students. During the BEYA awards gala on February 10, Karoom Brown will be awarded the Technical Sales and Marketing award for his leadership in securing a $6.8 billion contract with the Veterans Benefits Administration to continue providing medical disability exams for veterans worldwide.
