Anitra Androh Recognized as a Leader in D.C. Commercial Real Estate

Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that Anitra D. Androh, a real estate lawyer in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has been recognized by Bisnow as one of its 2017 Women of Influence in Commercial Real Estate.

As part of Bisnow’s Power Series initiative, the annual list recognizes the women who have made the biggest impact and have the most influence in the commercial real estate industry in Washington, D.C.

Androh was recently elected to the board of directors of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) for 2018. She currently serves as co-chair of DCBIA’s housing committee, which focuses on creating solutions-based proposals to improve housing in the District of Columbia, including housing production, management, financing and regulation.

The vice president and 2015 “Member of the Year” of the DC chapter of African-American Real Estate Professionals, Androh also has held leadership positions with Commercial Real Estate Women DC, which recognized her with its 2014 Placemaking Award for her work on CityCenter DC.

The Women of Influence in Commercial Real Estate awards were presented at a networking reception on December 14 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

About Anitra Androh

As counsel in the Real Estate & Transactional Finance Practice Group at Miles & Stockbridge, Androh represents clients in commercial real estate transactions in the disposition, acquisition and development of mixed-use, commercial and residential projects. Androh has extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of development agreements; construction management agreements; property management agreements; cost-sharing agreements; reciprocal easement agreements; and declaration of covenants, conditions, and restrictions. 

Her practice also involves the creation of condominium regimes and the negotiation and settlement of warranty claims filed against developers by condominium associations. Androh represents clients in the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases and regularly advises clients regarding the Americans with Disability Act claims and other related provisions in commercial leases.
