Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) says it received a second request from the Federal Trade Commission for additional information related to its proposed acquisition of Orbital ATK (NYSE:OA), as expected.
NOC says it continues to expect the $7.8B deal, the biggest in the aerospace and defense industry in two years, to close in H1 2018.
NOC’s deal to buy OA would give it greater access to government contracts and expand its arsenal of missile defense systems and space rockets.
