BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fidelis Cybersecurity (Fidelis) today announced it has added two executives to its product and marketing team to support the company’s next phase of growth and technology innovation as the trusted protector of the world’s most sensitive enterprise data. Cybersecurity veteran, Tim Roddy, will join as vice president of product strategy and Billy Cripe, as vice president of global marketing.

“As a pioneer of automated detection and response technology, we are driving the emergence of a new product category while continuing to grow our company via a strategic product roadmap,” said John McCormack, CEO of Fidelis. “That can be a tall order, but Tim and Billy are exactly the right people to make this happen within their respective leadership roles. They both have a deep technical expertise and understand how Fidelis is positioned to help fight against today’s advanced and rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape. I’m pleased to have them join as we head into a new transformative year for the company.”

Reporting directly to John, Roddy and Cripe will serve leading roles:

  • Tim Roddy, vice president of product strategy: In this role, Roddy is responsible for building and expanding Fidelis’ market-driven product roadmap, clearly positioning Fidelis to enterprises and key influencers, gaining keen insight into the competitive landscape, and developing compelling product marketing messages. Prior to Fidelis, Roddy spent 12 years with McAfee, where he led product marketing and product management for the company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and appliance web gateway, secure email gateway and data protection solutions. During that time, Roddy successfully evolved McAfee’s on-premises web security offering to include a cloud-based deployment option and helped the company quadruple revenue in a four year period from its web filtering product.
  • Billy Cripe, vice president of global marketing: In this role, Cripe will leverage his experience leading marketing teams in fast-growth markets to define and dominate the new automated detection and response (ADR) market space served by Fidelis. Prior to Fidelis, Cripe served as chief marketing officer for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup Field Nation, where he built from the ground up an agile marketing discipline that helped the fast-growing field service marketplace increase revenue by 400 percent in three years.

With its automated detection and response platform, Fidelis improves by 10-20 times the effectiveness and efficiency of security operations teams in detecting and responding to complex and advanced attacks, threats, intrusions and compromises. Some of the largest and most influential organizations in the world—including six of the 2017 Fortune 10—rely on Fidelis to help their security operations teams more quickly, easily spot and respond to attacks; massively increase efficiency; and gain complete enterprise visibility.

“Most security products either miss potential threats or deluge analysts with so many alerts, it’s impossible for them to figure out what matters,” said Roddy. “What intrigued me about Fidelis is that its customers realize unmatched results, and its technology is truly unique and differentiated—there’s no other automated detection and response offering out there right now. The opportunity to help build a new market category destined to grow very quickly is every product marketer’s dream. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
