Will Sjoberg Joins Porter Wright's Washington Office as Partner

International trade and customs attorney William C. Sjoberg has joined Porter Wright's Washington office as a partner in its International Business & Trade practice. Will brings more than 25 years of experience representing both U.S. and foreign clients in antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the Office of Enforcement and Compliance and the U.S. International Trade Commission, and on a variety of issues before U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

"Will is a strong addition to our Washington team, and we are pleased to bring in his extensive international trade and compliance experience to serve our clients' complex international business needs," said John Monica, partner-in-charge of the firm's Washington office.

Will has wide-ranging experience practicing before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of State and Office of the United States Trade Representative. He also represents clients in export control matters before the Bureau of Industry and Security, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

Previously serving as an Import Compliance Specialist in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance (formerly the Office of Import Administration), Will was responsible for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of antidumping and countervailing duty issues. He also has served as a Private Sector Project Manager in investment and export promotion with the United States Agency for International Development in Belize, Central America.

Will serves on the board of directors for the Customs and International Trade Bar Association, and he is active with the Georgetown University Law Center, Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Customs Lawyers Association. Will received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law after completing his undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Austin.
