A Henrico County hotel operator has bought 10 acres in Goochland County for a retail and office development.

Plans for the Manakin Village development call for a hotel, fast-food restaurants and shopping center and office space.

The project would be at the northwest corner of U.S. 250 and Manakin Road, next to Satterwhite’s Restaurant. The development is about a quarter-mile west of the Broadview Shopping Center, where Food Lion and Enzo’s Italian Chop House are the main tenants.

“We are looking for tenants now, but we don’t have any commitments yet,” said Harry Bawa, who owns the Wingate by Wyndham Richmond Short Pump hotel.
