Miles & Stockbridge Earns Certification for Information Security Program

11/3/17

Miles & Stockbridge, a leading, full-service law firm with 246 lawyers and seven offices in the mid-Atlantic region, announced today that it has earned certification and registration under the rigorous International Organization for Standardization ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard, which specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving documented information security management systems.

To obtain certification and registration, Miles & Stockbridge underwent a rigorous audit that examined the full scope of the firm’s information security program and its ability to secure its most important assets, including information entrusted to the firm by clients and others.

“Nothing is more important to our client work than the safeguarding of their sensitive information,” said John B. Frisch, chairman and chief executive officer of Miles & Stockbridge. “Earning ISO certification sends the message that we mean business when it comes to security. We are taking serious measures and keeping our foot on the pedal in the name of protecting our clients’ assets and companies.”
