Lumber Liquidators plans a $36 million settlement to resolve claims brought on behalf of consumers who bought Chinese-manufactured laminate flooring that the chain previously sold.
The Toano-based specialty hardwood flooring retailer said it and a group of plaintiffs have signed a memorandum of understanding to settle the two cases in federal court in Richmond.
Under the terms of the deal, the company will contribute $22 million in cash and provide $14 million in store-credit vouchers for those who bought the laminate flooring between Jan. 1, 2009 and May 31, 2015.
