A business that delivers fresh, locally grown produce and a startup that wants to give people a greater voice in government were among four local ventures recognized Wednesday evening as some of the Richmond area’s most promising companies.
The four companies were selected as this year’s “RVA Companies to Watch” by Venture Forum RVA, a group that supports entrepreneurs and startup businesses in the Richmond region.
“From a big-picture perspective, it is all about bringing together key stakeholders in the community to celebrate a couple of early startup successes,” said Phil Beene, the chairman of this year’s event and co-founder of Nudge, a maker of software that promotes healthy living.
