Isaac Frumkin, a senior who only started running track and cross country full time after his sophomore year at Woodrow Wilson High School, has been named the District of Columbia State Athletic Association U.S. Army Impact Player of the Month.
Frumkin is co-captain of the Tigers' cross country team. He also runs the 800 and 1,600 meters for the Wilson track team.
"His dedication and hard work is pretty unrivaled on the team," Woodrow Wilson cross country coach Nora Swift said. "He really has put the work in to make himself the athlete that he is -- as well as the student that he is. ... He really is a testament to hard work and effort and caring and dedication paying off.
