Lyft, the fastest-growing on-demand transportation service in the U.S., is partnering with Erickson Living (www.EricksonLiving.com), a leading national manager and developer of continuing care retirement communities, to launch a pilot program in the Denver, CO, and Washington, D.C, areas.

The program, which aims to provide greater transportation options and increase independence, is piloting in two of Erickson Living’s communities: Wind Crest in Highlands Ranch, CO, and Riderwood in Silver Spring, MD, with potential to be expanded to Erickson Living’s 17 other communities across the nation. More than 24,000 residents could eventually have access to Lyft.

The partnership will include training for Erickson Living’s residents and staff on how to request rides through the Lyft app as well as training on Lyft’s web-based Concierge tool, which allows staff to request rides on behalf of Erickson Living residents.

For residents who sometimes depend on others to visit family and friends, to get to appointments, or go shopping, Lyft is providing increased transportation options. This partnership will vastly expand transportation access to residents, offering them the ability to go to destinations of their choice on-demand.
