Leadership Changes At Berkshire Hathaway Home Sale Realty

One of the country’s most successful real estate companies, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty, has announced two promotions, a new executive hire, and a hand off of one of its founders.

After 34 years of leadership, Managing Director Doug Rebert has decided to pass on his leadership responsibilities.

Rebert has been the partner responsible for the Company’s realty division and for growing the Company’s footprint through mergers and acquisitions.

The Company is ranked as the 25th most successful real estate company in the country in closed transactions (The Company is the #2 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices affiliate in closed transactions).

“The success of Homesale has truly been a collaborative effort. Each time we acquired another real estate company, my partners and our team made sure that our growth benefitted our agents, employees, and core service providers”, said Rebert.

Rebert has been recognized by national real estate publications as being one of the most influential real estate executives in the country.

Rebert will remain with Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty to help out when needed and to be available to past customers, family, and friends. He expects to grow Road Home LLC, his real estate investment company.

Rod Messick has assumed the role of Homesale’s Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, he will continue to expand his operational responsibilities, which currently include technology, human resources, facilities management, and process design.

Messick’s new role will leverage his 15 years’ experience in the industry and his 25-year history as a proven leader.

“I am excited about being more directly involved with the success of our entire team throughout the Homesale family of companies,” said Messick.

Rick Doyle, Board member and divisional president, has now has been named a Managing Director of the Company.

A veteran of 40 years in the industry with 14 years as a Board member, Doyle has worn many hats, including past President of the real estate division, instructing, coaching, marketing, recruiting, and integrating cultures.

“I look forward to helping the Company continue to thrive. It has always been about helping our team members and customers achieve their dreams”, said Doyle.

In a previous announcement, Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty welcomed Regina Coia as its new President of Realty Operations.
