American Technology Services, Inc. (ATS®) announced today that its client, the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), was selected out of over 2,000 entries to receive a Gold dotCOMM Award for its exceptional website redesign. dotCOMM Awards is an international competition honoring excellence in web creativity and digital communication and are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization oversees awards and recognition programs and honors outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
There were over 2,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and 13 other countries in the dotCOMM Awards 2017 competition. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, digital shops, advertising agencies, PR firms, production companies and freelancers. Entrants included designers, developers, content producers, digital artists, video professionals, account supervisors, creative directors, and corporate executives.

ATS' strong focus on usability, delivering effective backend systems, and deep expertise with the Kentico content management system (CMS) were major factors in the winning work. The goal of the project was to make the Association's website mobile-accessible, search-friendly, and align the look and feel with current web design standards and best practices.

Our goals for the redesign included an improved user experience, a more powerful and efficient site search, and the flexibility to create and display different types of content more dynamically," said David Masters, NAIS Director of Digital Content.
