Altavista-based company MidAtlantic Printers merged with North Carolina firm Forbes Printing on Sept. 1.
Charles Edwards, president of MidAtlantic, said the merger will result in a production increase of 10 percent to 15 percent. He said he does not anticipate the hiring of any additional employees at this time. The 27-year-old company employs 60.
All new orders with Forbes now will be received through the Altavista facility, which does commercial printing for producing promotional materials and flyers.
