VIDA Fitness, Aura Spa and SweatBox to Host Fundraiser

VIDA Fitness, Aura Spa, and SweatBox are paying it forward to the victims of Hurricane Harvey this Labor Day Weekend. FromFriday – Monday, the DC gym and day spa chain will host a seriesof fundraising opportunities and events for members, visitors and guests where proceeds from VIDA Fitness and SweatBox group classes, personal training sessions, spa treatments and Fuel Bar smoothies will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. All six VIDA Fitness and all four Aura Spa locations including SweatBox on U Street are participating.

Fundraising activities include:

  • Group Classes: VIDA Fitness will make a donation for every individual who engages in a group class – 200 group classes are offered all weekend at all six locations.
  • Fuel Bar Smoothies: VIDA’s Fuel Bar will make a donation for everyone who purchases a smoothie. The smoothie menu will include The Harvey -- a special signature smoothie dedicated to hurricane victims. All Fuel Bar locations are participating.
  • Aura Spa Massages: Aura Spa will make a donation for every massage.
  • SweatBox: SweatBox at 1612 U Street, NW will make a donation for everyone who takes a class.

About Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

After receiving an overwhelming number of inquiries from citizens and companies who want to help, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund that accepts tax deductible flood relief donations for victims that have been affected by the recent flood. The fund is housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
