Roanoke’s newly founded business incubator has been awarded another state grant to help its programs for small business owners.
The RAMP business accelerator, as the Regional Acceleration and Mentoring Program is known, was one of seven projects across Virginia selected this week to receive a Building Entrepreneurial Economics grant.
RAMP, which is a public-private partnership founded by Roanoke, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council and Virginia Western Community College, offers business training, mentorship and office space to area startups. The $40,000 grant will fund the development and instruction of coursework.
