A Virginia-based online fantasy sports business and an associated restaurant are scheduled to launch in early September.
Starting on Sept. 7, Virginia-based fantasy players will be able to open their free accounts at the website of Virginia Online Fantasy Sports and start picking their lineups. Besides NFL fantasy games, the company also will host free and paid contests for MLB, NBA, and English Premiere League soccer matchups.
Winning Virginia Online Fantasy Sports players who engage in paid contests will also be able to collect their winnings live in person at Pop’s Bar & Grill, a new sports bar in the Richmond area that is also the official host location of Virginia Online Fantasy Sports and the first fantasy sports themed restaurant in Virginia. The restaurant is located just off Midlothian Turnpike and also will open Sept. 7.
