IT Contractor To Create 400 Jobs In Fairfax

8/11/17

Government IT contractor Mission Services Inc. is expanding its Fairfax County operations, creating 400 new jobs.

Mission Services will spend $820,000 on the expansion, according to Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Virginia successfully competed against Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, and Texas for the project.

“The proximity to our customers, as well as the talent we need to make this company succeed, are some of the many reasons we decided to expand in Virginia,” Mission Services President Venkatesh Joshi said in a statement. “In addition to its proximity to federal agency headquarters, Northern Virginia’s critical IT infrastructure provides a foundation for MSI’s dynamic workforce. This region is a critical network access point in supporting today’s global internet traffic. It hosts prominent commercial internet exchange points and has been one of the most active data center markets in the country.”
