FINCA International, a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit and pioneer of microfinance services and social enterprise, is pleased to announce the appointment of Colleen Zakrewsky as Chief Development Officer. Ms. Zakrewsky will be responsible for leading FINCA's fundraising and marketing efforts for private and public donors.

FINCA serves low-income entrepreneurs in 21 countries with financial services and life-improving social good products. FINCA's newest program aims to build sustainable enterprises and distribution models for socially impactful products or services, like solar lamps and clean energy cookstoves, that save people time and money, promote health, and expand their opportunities to participate in the local economy.

Ms. Zakrewsky has over 25 years of experience in helping nonprofit organizations achieve impressive rates of growth, especially through major gifts, grants, collaborative partnerships and digital marketing. She has led international fundraising and marketing teams at Women for Women International and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. She has also served as a Vice President at the American Red Cross and has provided fundraising consulting services to other international organizations. Ms. Zakrewsky received her Bachelor's Degree from Bucknell Universityand her Master's Degree in Strategic Communications from American University.
