Miles & Stockbridge Joins More Than 270 CEOs in Unprecedented Commitment to Advance Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace

Miles & Stockbridge joins a growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Only one month after 175 CEOs came together to launch CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, nearly 100 additional CEOs have taken the pledge, committing themselves – and the organizations they lead – to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Miles & Stockbridge is one of six law firms nationwide that have signed the pledge to date. By signing on to this commitment, Miles & Stockbridge is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion.

The collective of more than 270 signatories has already shared almost 250 best practices, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com. On the hub, Miles & Stockbridge has shared its success with a hiring practice initiated two years ago that calls on the firm to interview at least one woman, minority or LGBT lawyer for each open position. The firm also discusses the significant impact of its three affinity groups for women, minority and Jewish lawyers. Continuing this momentum, the signatories will convene at a summit in November to discuss longer-term growth strategies to advance the agenda.

CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is led by a steering committee of CEOs and leaders from Accenture, BCG, Deloitte US, The Executive Leadership Council, EY, General Atlantic, KPMG, New York Life, Procter & Gamble, and PwC. The coalition represents 70 industries, all 50 U.S. States, and millions of employees globally.
