James W. Lowe Joins Sidley as Partner

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Jim Lowe has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. He will be a member of Sidley’s Antitrust/Competition practice.

Mr. Lowe has considerable experience handling merger and civil and criminal non-merger investigations at the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Trade Commission and other state and federal agencies. Earlier in his career, he spent four years in the Antitrust Division of the DOJ. He has led teams in large-scale litigations and government investigations and represented numerous clients with competitive concerns about proposed transactions. Mr. Lowe’s practice extends to complex case management and communications and transportation law. His knowledge spans a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, building materials, paper, airlines, railroads, telecommunications equipment and services and financial services.
