Brian Ciampa, MD, is a talented physician with a strong commitment to patient care. He originally received a Bachelor of Science in Communications. But after three years in film and television production, he changed course and decided to pursue a career in medicine. He began his medical education in the Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in internal medicine through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology at George Washington University.?
Leigh Lurie, MD is a dynamic physician with several years of experience. She earned her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her internal medicine residency at George Washington University Hospital. She worked as an internist for several years before finishing her gastroenterology fellowship within the New York Presbyterian system and pursuing her longtime goal of becoming a gastroenterologist. Most recently, Dr. Lurie served as a hospitalist for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians at Suburban Hospital and as a primary care physician at the General Internal Medicine Group.? The addition of Dr. Lurie, brings the number of female practitioners at Capital Digestive Care to 26. ?
