The new Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club and Region’s 117 restaurant mark one year
Trilogy® at Lake Frederick celebrates the first anniversary of a new state-of-the-art lodge, athletic club and restaurant this month. An exclusive and upscale 55+ active-lifestyle resort community nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and located just 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., Trilogy opened the 36,000-square-foot Shenandoah Lodge& Athletic Club and on-site Region’s 117 restaurant in July of 2016.
“The lodge and Region’s 117 were the final pieces of the puzzle to really bring this community together,” said Trilogy at Lake Frederick General Manager Jason King. “Over the past year, we’ve seen how big an impact they’ve had both in bringing our residents together and drawing in visitors from the surrounding area. We couldn’t be more proud.”
Since then, Region’s 117’s farm-to-table cuisine has received two “Diner’s Choice” awards and was named one of the 100 best brunch spots in America by Open Table, as recently featured in Forbes magazine, while Trilogy® at Lake Frederick has been named one of the 50 Best Master- Planned Communities in the United States by “Where to Retire” magazine. The lodge has also hosted a number of weddings and other special events.
The lodge, athletic club and restaurant are designed to serve as the social and activity hub of the community, hosting events for residents and featuring fine food and wine from the greater Virginia region. The restaurant, which is open to the public, features locally sourced ingredients including apples, cherries, seasonal vegetables and herbs grown on site in a nearby Chef’s Garden. The lodge also features Inglenook, a tavern bar, and The Market Place general store, which sells local gifts and gourmet food items from area farms.
“This project has been a huge success and we’ve definitely seen this in just the first year,” added King. “It’s a reminder that a lot of hard work and a strong vision really pay off.”
