Over Three Years, Companies Add $122 Million To Henry County

During the last three years, new and expanding industries in Henry County have had approximately $122 million in economic impact to the county, according to Mark Heath.

Heath, the President and CEO of the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation, presented the information to the Henry County Board of Supervisors at the board’s 3 p.m. meeting Tuesday.

Heath presented the board with a document compiling every major industry announcement in Henry County between July 1, 2014 and June 30 of this year. The document detailed 18 announcements, of which five were new industries and 13 were expansions of existing industries.
