One of Loudoun County’s most prized future mixed-use developments -- the Dulles World Center, otherwise known as The Hub -- won a second round of modifications by the Board of Supervisors last week. The changes will give the development flexibility in the way it phases the buildout of its 82-acre development.
The Board of Supervisors suspended its rules of order July 12 and unanimously approved a zoning concept plan amendment for The Hub. The amendment will loosen requirements on the development that had originally constrained it from building residential units if a majority of its office space was not completed.
Supervisors said the request made the most sense for the mixed-use development and expressed confidence in The Hub’s ability to attract commercial clients with its close proximity to the future Silver Line Metro stop.
