A stumbling block in the negotiations for a new $35 million baseball stadium in Prince William County has other Northern Virginia destinations considering a pitch for the next home of the region's minor league ball club.
Alexandria is "exploring scenarios" to bring the Potomac Nationals back to the city, according to the Washington Business Journal's Drew Hansen.
"The Potomac Nationals were formerly the Alexandria Dukes,” Alexandria Vice Mayor Justin Wilson told the paper. “If there is a scenario where we could bring minor league baseball back to Alexandria, I'd be all for it. I've asked that our staff explore scenarios that might be feasible."
