FCEDA’s Gordon Hails Launch of Air India Service to Dulles Airport as “Major Improvement”

7/7/17

“Statement from Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, on the June 7, 2017, launch of Air India service between Washington Dulles International Airport and Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi:”

“The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority has had permanent representation in Bangalore since 2005 to work with Indian companies considering locating or expanding in the U.S. market. Growing Indian companies that want to be in the U.S. need to consider Fairfax County because of the mature and diverse information technology sector with possible customers and partners, the availability of highly skilled workforce talent, a renowned public school system, and of course the county’s location near Washington, D.C.

“Washington Dulles International Airport and its connections to markets around the world is also a huge asset for Fairfax County, and the new Air India service between Dulles and New Delhi marks a major improvement in connections between our two business communities as well as for tens of thousands of Indian-Americans and south Asians who live in Fairfax County. My office was pleased to be part of the effort to land the Air India service here and we are delighted that the effort has resulted in a major improvement for Fairfax County and the Washington area.”
