Plans For High-Tech, $25 Million Golf Driving Range Approved In Goochland

A high-tech, $25 million golf driving range was green-lighted in Goochland County on Wednesday.

The three-story, 60,000-square-foot facility called the Drive Shack will feature indoor and outdoor ranges, 90 private suites, a restaurant, lounge and event space, according to a county staff report.

Goochland’s Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the rezoning needed for the project at its meeting Wednesday, said deputy clerk Lisa Beczkiewicz in an email. The facility will be located at the end of Three Chopt Road near state Route 288 and Interstate 64.
