Rachael Rice and Suzanne Amos
Pets on Wheels, a non-profit organization that brings therapy animals to facilities across Maryland for friendly visits, announces three new additions to their board of directors:
Suzanne Amos of Phoenix, Maryland: Amos, who volunteers with Pets on Wheels with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Lucy, has been appointed to the Pets on Wheels board of directors. She is a past trustee of the Maryland Zoo and serves on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Hampton Mansion and Baltimore Humane Society boards to name a few. Amos retired as Chief Purser with United Airlines, and has been a member of the Maryland Aviation Commission. She currently has several businesses in which she is involved.
Michelle O'Connor of Cockeysville, Maryland: O'Connor volunteers for Pets on Wheels with her rescued Weimeraner, Layla Belle. A telecommunications professional with Nokia, O'Connor is an alumna of Johns Hopkins University graduate school. O'Connor focuses on project management in her work, and has served on the board of a humane society in South Carolina.
Rachael Rice of Bel Air, Maryland: Rice is the founder of Rice Consulting, Maryland's top fundraising consulting firm for politicians and organizations. Rice has been a key player in political and organizational support in the state since 1992, consulting on a number of key state political races as well organizations such as the Humane Society of Harford County, the Bel Air Downtown Alliance, Healthy Harford, Paws for Life, and the Harford County Wine Festival. Rice volunteers with her chocolate lab, Augie, for Pets on Wheels.
Founded in 1982, Pets on Wheels provides friendly therapy pet visits that touch over 190,000 people each year in nursing homes, shelters, student reading programs and more.
